Freezing – Anime Review
Review: The story takes place in a world that is under threat of invasion from giant nova creatures. The only ones who are able to fight them are genetically enhanced girls called Pandoras. When Aoi Kazuya enrolls to an academy where young Pandoras are trained and educated, he instantly develops an affection for Satellizer el Bridget; the strongest but also coldest of all Pandoras in her year. Genetically enhanced boys may also visit this academy to be chosen by Pandoras as their Limiter and assist them during fights with their freezing ability. The distant and seemingly cold hearted Satellizer however doesn’t seem to have any intention of teaming up with anybody.
Freezing is based on a popular manga of the same name. Similar to Sekirei this anime has lots of action and fanservice in decent animation quality. Yet, there is also a solid story that develops slowly, while in the beginning the focus lays within the development of relationships. Let’s hope there will be more than 12 episodes so that the story will actually be going somewhere.

there will have to be a season two, the ending cut scene for episode 12 was “This is only just the beginning.” Making it sure enough that there will be a season 2… If there isn’t though I will be pissed, honestly this anime is great.

The reliability of those random posts is always questionable. But as pointed out before: the ending of ep12 indiated there is a high possibility of a second season of freezing. Yet we cant be certain.

The only thing about the end of ep12 is that i have seen a lot of anime that end with that. Rave master for example they end walking off into a sunset saying lets go find the rest of the raves. Sometimes they just run out of funds for anime….

I have read the manga freezing so i know its just the beginning, but there is many animes that don’t finish even though the manga has lots of stuff.. and i know its fucking good if it would be a second season!

i was watching dubbed animes when i was like 10 years old and now that i am 20 watching in dub really ruins the anime.Since we are discussing about Freezing you propably arent a kid (xD) so i think you should start watching with eng subs,at the beginning listenning to japanese will be a bit annoying but in time you will get used to it and finally enjoy it much more than the dubbed

This anime was awful. In summary it is a story of a girl who keeps getting frustrated become there is always something preventing her from having sex with her limiter.
The Nova invasion is just added as a side story.

i prefer the manga than the anime.In the anime they focus too much in kazuyas-satelizers relationship,also they changed the pandora mode from a suit to blue rings around hands and legs…
The thing that surprised me the most is that in the anime there are more naked scenes (BOOBIES) than in the manga…

This anime has changed my life. If there is no Season 2, I will have a extreme heart-attack. But at the end of episode 12, professor Aoi from West Genetics said “This is just the beginning” I will be praying every night. Sattelizer, Godspeed of the East, Rana, and Cora you all make me proud.

there is probabaly going to be a season 2 but the forst season was a cliff hanger leaving us to think what would happen next but some manga’s/anime leave with cliff hangers. what am trying to say is that freezing would be better if there wasa less echhiness in it cause it might get cancelled i pray to God it doesnt. or maybe the creators of Freezing want to see everybody’s reaction to the anime first before creating a 2 season and yh eng dub sucks stick to japanease its better by far!

There will be a season 2. Considering the fact that there is a manga of it that started in 2007 that is still ONGOING and another that started on 2011 that is ONGOING. if you notice on the end of last episode she says “Professor Aoi” AOI! main characters name. Father maybe? my point is they left too many questions to not have a 2nd season

yyeah… it truly is a great anime and all, but there are plenty of anime shows that made several manga but only the first season was released. Example: Kaze no Stigma. I really hope they release more anime, and quit short ending us all, but it’s nothing that can be guaranteed.

the anime was actually good, i mean legitamately entertaining… overkilled the pointless nudity honestly overplayed, but w/e

I actually like this anime, the animation is pretty good and the story and main cause follows the manga very well, although there are some parts that I was willing to see but got disappointed.
For anyone of you who think there will be a second season I can say in confidence that there will be one. The manga is in advance from the anime by something like 3 episodes I think, so when the time comes and the manga will continue to advance they will probably release a second season based on the moments to come in the manga.

just finished it was very disapointed in the end. really wish they would make a second season but dont know where they would go with it. but i mean really what kind of an ending was that!!!
id give it 8-10 for story and 6-10 for overall.
p.s. for any one who actually likes the story i suggest reading the manga it goes alot farther than the anime.

Oh and i really want them to make this season dubbed and than if there is more seasons i also want it to be dubbed. And i really wish that they would use the guy that is doing the Bleach anime ichigo i wish if they would use ichigo as Kazuya Aoi when they make it dubbed. That would be awesome i love ichigo’s voice. As for the girl i think Orihime is good.

I just finished it this morning! I just wish there where more romantic scenes, like the baptism, and more kissing. Plus it should have went more in depth of how the pandoras where created and how they control the weapons and clothing. I Can’t wait for the second season if the have one, if they don’t i will most likely go into a coma.

For those who are always wondering when the 2nd season is coming out, I would say never. I read the manga for quite a while and well…they probably shouldn’t even bother. It really doesn’t get anywhere. Just abuse, very messed up past when it comes to the main female protagonist and eventually some kind of incest twist. I just gave up on the manga…totally lost me. This is going to be another Naruto basically with all the little sub plots and divisions.
