This list is meant to provide an overview of all the new Japanese anime announced to air soon on Japanese television or to be released as anime DVD/Blu-Ray this winter in January 2010.

Happy New Year everyone!!!
As it seems this January there won’t be that many new anime shows. This time we get less shoujo-ai and alternative shows, and yet more of the same old fantasy and school-themed ones. Nonetheless there are a few to look forward to. My early recommendations are: Omamori Himari, Dance in the Vampire Bund and Seikon no Qwaser. The Fate/stay night and Haruhi movies are a must-watch as well of course.
